Your course is designed to be used for "SINGLE PARTICIPANT USE" only and is not authorized for "MULTI PURPOSE USE" or "GROUP TRAINING" as your certificate of course completion along with all benefits of course completion being assigned to the single individual that originally signed up to take your training course.
IS THERE A TIME LIMIT TO USE THE NO-COST CAREER CONSULTATION AFTER RECEIVING YOUR CERTIFICATE OF COURSE COMPLETION?
There is a time limit of 6 months from completing your course and getting your certificate to initiate the no-cost career consultation process. Once you have initiated the career consulting process, you will receive continuous career development support for an additional 6 months thereafter. In the event of a new client you refer, an additional 6 months of career consulting support will be granted at no additional cost or service fees.
CAN I REFER SOMEONE ELSE TO TAKE YOUR COURSE FOR ME?
Do to the training course being designed for individual use, coupled with the fact that your certificate of course completion along with all additional benefits and perks being assigned to whoever signs up for your course, there are no provisions for having any other person take the training course for someone else and having the certificate and course benefits go to the person that did not sign up for your course.
CAN I GET A CDL IF I HAVE A CRIMINAL OR A FELONY RECORD?
Yes, however, it greatly depends on what type of felony you were convicted of, for instance, anyone convicted of human trafficking are permanently prohibited from ever holding or acquiring a Commercial Driver's License, (CDL). You must also not be barred by your parole conditions if you are on parole, and you must have a current regular driver's license that has not been suspended. There may be other restrictions related to the various endorsements that can be added to your CDL, such as "HAZMAT" thus, it is important to check with the DMV in your home state for complete details because the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) only regulates who can get a CDL, they do not issue CDLs or conduct on site and classroom training for CDLs.
CAN I GET A CDL IF I AM UNDER 21 YEARS OLD?
You can apply for your CPL, obtain formal training to get your CDL class A or Class B, however, there may be restrictions placed on you as an under 21-year-old CDL driver, along with certain CDL Endorsements, such as a HAZMAT endorsement until you have reached or surpassed the age of 21. It is mandatory that you successfully complete a CDL driver training course from a training school that has been approved for CDL training by FMCSA. General conditions for obtaining a CDL when a person is under 21 in most states is that you must be at least 18 years old to drive intrastate (within the state) and at least 21 years old to drive interstate (out-of-state) or to transport hazardous materials and you should check with the DMV in your home state of issuance for complete information.
CAN I HAVE A PET ON MY TRUCK WHILE I AM DRIVING?
Currently there are no federal regulations prohibiting pets onboard a commercial truck while driving, however, some transportation companies may not permit pets of any type onboard while driving or at any other time due to cerin factors pertaining from insurance and liability coverage to customer and shipper needs, particularly when transporting Hazardous Materials, Produce and other Consumables, this potentially being the case, always make sure to check with the employer for complete details on their pet policies and be sure to check all states pet containment and securement law because some states require pets to be secured in the vehicle while the vehicle is in motion as well as when the vehicle stops to ensure public and pet safety at all times.
DO I HAVE TO REPORT TRAFFIC TICKETS AND ACCIDENTS ON MY CDL TO EMPLOYERS?
"YES"! You are advised to report all tickets and accidents to employers prior to employment as well as any traffic infractions received post-employment. AM I REQUIRED TO HAVE ADDITIONAL ENDORSEMENTS ON MY CDL?
The answer is "NO". You are not required by law to have any additional endorsements included on your regular CDL; however, most carriers may require you to obtain and maintain certain additional endorsements your CDL such as "HAZMAT", "PASSENGER", "TANKER" and various other endorsements, some of which the carrier may elect to cover the training and cost for obtaining these endorsements. You may also obtain these endorsements on you own at the same time you are getting your regular CDL, keeping in mind that they are not a requirement to get you regular cdl which will save you from training and obtaining these endorsements later in your career and it will open more doors for you right away as a commercial truck driver if you have them prior to seeking employment with a carrier.
IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT FOR KEEPING A CDL FOR OLDER DRIVERS?
Currently, there are no age limits in the US, however, there are medical and fitness requirements to ensure that any driver, regardless of age, is medically fit to fully perform the duties of a commercial truck driver. These regulations require all commercial drivers to obtain and maintain an up-to-date medical certificate on file with the driver's state DMV and with FMCSA to ensure compliance with this mandate. There may be certain age restrictions for older commercial truck drivers that operate in the Canadian and Mexican territories thus, it is important to check those regions' regulations prior to operating in those regions.
DO I NEED A SPECIAL CDL TO OPERATE OVERSIZED TRUCKS?
There is no "SPECIAL" CDL designed for oversized load transport, however, prior to operation such units, the carrier may require the driver to have a specific level of experience operating these types of units as the driver transporting heavy and oversized loads as well as having the knowledge, training, and credentials to do so. Some of these credentials may include heavy equipment operation, i.e., front loaders and cranes as you may be required to load and off load these types of equipment as well as picking them up and delivering them to their destinations.
IS IT ILLEGAL TO HAVE A PASSENGER RIDING WITH ME ON MY TRUCK?
There are no laws prohibiting have a passenger or a pet on you truck as a professional commercial truck driver, however, a carrier or your employer, may have certain rules and regulations that may need to be adhered to, which will help to avoid any potential liability concerns thus, is important to confirm these potential rules and regulations prior to bring a passenger or pet onboard your truck. That passenger is not legally permitted to operate said unit without a current CDL with all necessary endorsements as well however, if you are a true owner operator, using your own truck, you can have anyone you choose on your truck, but the operation of the truck still comes under federal guidelines in respect to the legal operation of that unit.
